Scott focuses his practice in the areas of estate and asset protection planning, business succession planning, probate, federal and state tax compliance and litigation, business transactions, franchising and nonprofit organizations. Scott's client's range from affluent individuals with complex estate planning and tax objectives to same sex couples with unique and sensitive familial issues. Scott also assists small medium size business organizations with their formation, procurement of equity and debt, and tax and operational matters.
Scott is originally from South Bend, Indiana, but has lived most of his adult life in the Toledo, Ohio area. Scott previously was a bank executive heading up the Private Client Group in Northern Indiana for the tenth largest banking institution in the United States overseeing all of its private banking, brokerage, investment management and trust administration activities. Scott is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and received special recognition for scoring in the top 5 in the world on the 1987 CFA examination.
