Jack is a 1970 graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law and served as a Referee and Chief deputy Clerk of the Lucas County Probate Court.
Jack has nearly thirty years of experience in estate planning, wills, and trusts. He has strong community involvement with non-profit organizations in the areas of planned and deferred giving.
Jack is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the Ohio federal and state courts.
Jack has served as an adjunct professor for the University of Toledo College of Law in the areas of trusts and estates, the University of Toledo Community and Technical College in the legal assisting program, and the Owens Community College in the field of law enforcement. He is frequent lecturer to attorneys, trust officers, accountants, and paralegals on topics related to estate planning, trusts and estates.
Jack is a former member and chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Way Public Library in Perrysburg, Ohio; a former member and president of the St. Charles Mercy Hospital Foundation; a board member and past chairman of the Strategic Alliance Partnership of Toledo, a joint venture of the Toledo Community Foundation, the United Way of Greater Toledo and the Stranahan Foundation and, a board member and Secretary of the Black Swamp Conservancy, a land preservation nonprofit. Mr. Wanick also serves as a board member and Chairman of the Planning Commission for the City of Perrysburg, Ohio.
