Randy joined the firm in 2004 and has more than 10 years of experience engaging primarily in civil litigation. His current practice involves defending railroads from employee injury claims under the Federal Employers Liability Act; litigation involving businesses and individuals in contract, real estate, employment, product liability, environments and personal injury disputes; business formation and transactions; real estate transactions; and family law.
During law school, Randy served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable J. Ronald Bowman in the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas while attending law school. Upon his admission to the Ohio Bar, Randy joined the Ohio Attorney General's Office in the Environmental Enforcement Section representing the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. He successfully represented both agencies before Ohio's federal courts on a variety of matters involving environmental, constitutional, real property, contract, and employment law. Randy has extensive experience relating to the Federal Clean Air Act as well as Ohio's state environmental laws and regulations, having appeared before the Ohio Environmental Review Appeals Commission on numerous occasions.
Randy is involved with the Toledo Bar Association's Pro Bono Advisory Committee and supervises Anspach Meeks Ellenberger LLP's involvement with the Lucas County Juvenile Court Pro Se Clinic. Randy also serves on the Grievance Investigation Committee of the Toledo Bar Association.
